Carlington Chaplaincy needs volunteer leaders for the Creative Path visual arts program (Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Assist program participants by offering guidance on arts projects, participate in committee meetings, offer recommendations, suggestions and ideas for group projects and act as a key holder for our studio space. Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre provides community health and social services to a diverse, westend community. Their adult day program needs help for social, recreational, physical activities, and companionship. You must be 15 or over and available one day/week from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Commitment is for one year and police records check is required. Seniors and volunteers with disabilities are welcome. Also required: Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers who will be eligible for reimbursement of .43/km. Please submit proof of $2 million insurance coverage. Score with Capital City Condors: These hockey teams for players aged six and up, with developmental and/or physical disabilities, need volunteer on-ice coaches for the hockey program to teach basic skating up to advanced hockey skills weekly in Kanata and Gloucester. Humanitarian Coalition strives to maximize Canadian fundraising efforts for the survivors of international humanitarian disasters by reducing duplication of costs, increasing awareness of needs and eliminating guesswork for Canadian donors.
