Finnish club signs Scrubb brother
Thomas Scrubb will be joining brother Phil in Europe playing professional basketball this fall. Thomas, who like his brother won five CIS men’s titles with the Carleton Ravens, has signed with the Finnish club Kataja. Philip signed recently with AEK Athens. They aren’t the only ones who will be on the hard court in Europe. University of Ottawa star Johnny Berhanemeskel signed in August with the Estonian club TLU/ Kalev. And Aylmer’s Olivier Hanlan, a second-round draft pick by the National Basketball’s Utah Jazz in June, has signed for one year plus an option for a second season with the Lithuanian club BC Zalgiris Kaunas.
