Thousand Islands: Visit Thousand Islands National Park and take in the local art association’s annual show and sale Sept. 19, 20, 26, 27 and Oct. 3 and 4. Ottawa’s heritage: Learn about the city’s rural and suburban heritage, modern infill and more, with a keynote address on South March, at the day-long Heritage Ottawa Phillips Memorial Heritage Forum Sept. 26. It runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, 325 Sandhill Rd., Kanata, and includes presentations and walking tours. Cost is $20 and you must pre-register.
