The Ottawa Redblacks beat Hamilton Tiger-Cats twice to close out the regular season.

2014

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats win all three matchups with the inaugural Ottawa Redblacks, outscoring Ottawa 83-54 over the season.

2006

The Ottawa Renegades fold.

2005

Oct. 21: The Renegades’ 40-32 loss to the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton virtually eliminates the Renegades’ playoff hopes.

2004

Oct. 15: Hamilton kicker Jamie Boreham nails two field goals in a 20-17 overtime win that lifts the Tiger-Cats into the CFL playoffs and eliminates the Ottawa Renegades from contention in front of a capacity Ivor Wynne Stadium crowd of 29,220.

2003

Sept. 5: The Renegades hammer the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 45-28. The 45 points are a Renegades franchise record for points in a game.

2002

June: The Ottawa Renegades debut.

1996

November: The Ottawa Rough Riders officially fold.

1992

Nov. 15: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats beat the Rough Riders 29-28 with 11 seconds on the clock in Hamilton in the Eastern Division semifinal

1983

Nov. 13: After completing their regular season with a 5-10-1 record, the Ticats stun the Rough Riders 33-31 in Eastern Division semifinal before a crowd of 28,524 Lansdowne Park.

1981

The Rough Riders finish second in the East with a 5-16 record, then travel to Hamilton and stun the Tiger-Cats 17-13. The Riders lose the Grey Cup to the Edmonton Eskimos 23-21.

1975

Ottawa obtains Hamilton’s Tony Gabriel in a trade after he’d sued the Ticats for extra pay when the number of games in the CFL East season was increased to 16 from 14.

1967

Nov. 25: Hamilton wins the Eastern championsh­ip over the Rough Riders 37-3. Hamilton’s Angelo Mosco says of the Riders, “… they just quit. We could all feel it.”

1965

Nov. 20: Hamilton wins Eastern Conference final 17-7 over the Rough Riders in Hamilton. Former Citizen sports editor, then Ottawa Journal writer, Eddie MacCabe, writes that the Riders were “outpowered and outclassed.”

1964

Nov. 21: Hamilton wins Eastern Conference final 39-38 in Hamilton. Coach Frank Clair calls it his ‘biggest disappoint­ment in coaching.’

1963

Nov. 23: Ottawa wins 25-18 in the final game of the Eastern Football Conference total points series with Hamilton, but the Tiger Cats win the round 63-35.
