SAY ‘YES’ TO CENTREPOIN­TETHEATRES’ SPRINGPERF­ORMANCES

Valentine’s Day is coming and it doesn’t get much more romantic than dancing and wedding dresses.

This spring, Ottawa’s Centrepoin­te Theatres are offering unique opportunit­ies to indulge in, with a couple of events featuring stars from Say Yes to the Dress, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.

“Instead of giving your lovedone more stuff on Valentine’ s Day, why not give them an experience they can cherish forever?” says Stephanie Kersey, marketing and developmen­t manager at Centrepoin­te Theatres.

Dancing with aTwist appearson March 19 at 8 p.m ., bringing together TV reality show stars for anevening of entertainm­ent headlined by Chelsie Hightower and Dmitry Chaplin of Dancing with the Stars fame, and a supporting cast of recognizab­le names from reality dance television.

The evening features across-section of dance styles, including jazz, samba, hip-hop, moderndanc­eand ballroom. A VIP meet-and-greet provides a lucky few with the opportunit­y to meet the stars, get autographs and chat.

And for prospectiv­e brides, the “Wedding Dress Whisperer” is coming to town. Randy Fenoli, of Say Yes to the Dress fame, is coming to talk dresses, Kleinfelds and getting the perfect look for ‘ your day.’

Fenoli will host a private VIP event for 250 lucky guests featuring the top tier of Ottawa’s bridal suppliers. One lucky bride will win a private consultati­on with Fenoli and will walk out with a bridal gown of their choice.

Born on a cattle farm in Southern Illinois, a young Randy Fe no li may have been an unlikely candidate for designer gown guru, but he now stars in four successful television shows, is author of a bestsellin­g wedding book and a regular on the daytime talk show circuit including The Today Show, The View and Rachael Ray.

Driven by his fascinatio­n for design, Randy taught himself to sew at age nine. After graduating from the prestigiou­s Fashion Institute of Technology, he launched two bridal industry collection­s: Randy Fenoli for the Diamond Collection and Randy Fenoli for Dressy Creations.

Today, as the star of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Big Bliss, Randy Knows Best and Randy to the Rescue, Fenoli is seen by millions of viewers each week.

On Randy to the Rescue, Fenoli travels the country with a transport truck filled with wedding gowns and accessorie­s helping brides find their dream wedding dress at his ultimate pop-up bridal salon. He selects three lucky brides who have said “yes” to their dress and, with the help of a hairstylis­t and makeup artist, transforms them and presents each with a bridal blueprint for her wedding day.

With a philosophy that every woman is beautiful, no matter what her size, age or shape, Fenoli inspires womento feel truly beautiful on their wedding day. He will share this message with 1,000 brides at Centrepoin­te to open ‘wedding season.’

Following his inspiring presentati­on, he will host an intimate and exclusive VIP bridal experience. Challengin­g the current model for bridal events, the afternoon features the best suppliers in the National Capital Region. Forget the busy, loud and often exhausting afternoon of bridal trade shows. Instead, guests can grab a cocktail, snap a picture with Fenoli and explore the upper echelon of all things bridal.

Every vendor is providing a significan­t prize to be given away leading up to, or at the event including a wedding gown (The Handmade Bride ), catering( Thy me and Again Creative Catering), a custom-made glow bar set up for the wedding day (Ottawa Special Events), custom bridal jewelry (Strut Jewelry), wedding planning services (Toast Events) and many other spectacula­r prizes totalling well over $10,000.

“These prizes are incredible,” says Kersey. “We aren’t talking about a 15 per cent-off coupon, these are spectacula­r wedding features that will absolutely thrill anyone planning a wedding.”
