The homicide squad is looking to identify two men caught on community housing video surveillance fleeing the apartment where 20-year-old Taylor Morrow-Flint was shot dead in a gangland slaying at the end of February.

Major crime detectives released images Wednesday afternoon that show two men leaving the area and running southbound on Ritchie Street toward Carling Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.

The images come from the Britannia Woods community housing complex across the street from the apartment at 82 Ritchie St., where Morrow-Flint, also known as “Ghost,” was shot in the back of the head and thigh in a targeted killing that police are investigating for links to drug and sex trafficking. After Morrow-Flint was shot inside the kitchen of the apartment, witnesses fled, along with two people believed to be suspects.

Witnesses have not been able to identify the suspects and police don’t know if the men caught on camera are their culprits.

Morrow-Flint was inside the apartment with several people on the evening of Feb. 24 — some of them his friends. Police believe Morrow-Flint’s killers knew him and knew he was there — either because Morrow-Flint had himself told them or someone else inside the apartment alerted them — and that they showed up with intent to harm him.

Investigators believe the two men in the surveillance footage may have had a getaway car waiting since no video footage seized by police shows them anywhere else in the area after the homicide.

Police have no physical description of the men in the surveillance footage and ask that anyone who saw them, or have information on a possible vehicle, call the major crime unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Morrow-Flint’s killing was the fourth of five homicides in 2016.
