No injuries in Orléans house fire

Callers reported fire and smoke were visible from a home near Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard just before 11 p.m. Thursday night, Ottawa Fire Services reported.

A working fire was declared for 471 Wincanton Dr. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 11 p.m.

It was not reported if residents were at home at the time of the fire, but they had to make arrangements to stay elsewhere as the building is currently uninhabitable.

No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $70,000.
