BAUTISTA OUT FOR A FEW WEEKS MORE

Don’t expect to see Jose Bautista in uniform any time soon. The Toronto Blue Jays slugger remains in a walking boot after suffering a turf toe injury on his left foot on June 16.

“He’s feeling better, but it’s going to be a while,” Jays manager John Gibbons said Friday before the Jays played Cleveland at the Rogers Centre in a Canada Day matinee. Gibbons estimated it would be “a couple of weeks.”

The Jays return from the all-star break July 15 in Oakland.
