Sex assault suspect’s photo released

Ottawa police have released picture and video footage of a suspect believed to be involved in a sexual assault in Lowertown earlier this week.

The suspect, as seen in the video, is described as a 25-to-40-year-old white male with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a green T-shirt with large white lettering, dark three-quarter length pants, brown boots and carrying a blue shoulder bag.

The alleged assault occurred early Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Clarence St. The male was travelling on foot.

OPS is asking anyone with information regarding this investigation to call Ottawa Police’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) section at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944. Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help identifying this man with regard to a recent sex assault that occurred in Lowertown.
