Leafs trade Bernier to Ducks

-

The Toronto Maple Leafs traded goaltender Jonathan Bernier to the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional pick in the 2017 NHL draft on Friday. It’s the second trade involving the two teams and goalies in as many months. Toronto acquired Danish goaltender Frederik Andersen in June in exchange for the 30th overall selection in the 2016 draft and a second-round selection in 2017. Bernier, 27, is 8888-23 with 12 shutouts, a 2.67 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage in 213 career NHL games with Los Angeles and Toronto. He was 12-21-3 with a 2.88 GAA last year.
