Viking museum to triple in size

- Andre Ramshaw

A Norwegian gallery devoted to the Viking life is to triple in size after the government announced a major expansion. The new Viking Age Museum in Oslo will be 13,000 square metres and will incorporate an existing building from 1926 in its circular design. The extension will create an “iconic signature” for the museum while opening space for new exhibitions and preserving the Viking Ship Building as a prominent feature, the Danish architects behind the project said.
