Charting Bruyère Continuing Care’s future with your help

-

Oct. 1 marks National Seniors Day. At Bruyère Continuing Care, our priority remains caring for seniors and those living with complex medical conditions and life limiting illnesses.

In our early history, we were a place that became home for people no longer able to live independently.

In recent years, our mission has broadened. For many, we are a transition point from hospital to home. Medical advances have made it possible for patients to return to the community, return to their homes. Our strategic directions see us continuing to build on these priorities with program and research emphasis on brain health and memory, integrated seniors care and rehabilitation.

At Bruyère: we care, we train, we rehabilitate, we teach, we investigate, we ease pain, we partner, we hold the caregiver’s hand, we discuss, we hug, we look for solutions through data, we anticipate the future, we encourage that first step and we help patients through their last breath.

As a young woman, Mother Élisabeth Bruyère could have never anticipated the work she began over 171 years ago would transform to what it has become today – one of the largest health care providers in eastern Ontario. Bruyère Continuing Care has continually evolved to meet the growing needs of our community and will continue to do so in the years ahead.

With our rapidly aging population and the increase in chronic disease, there has never been a better time to support the life-changing care Bruyère provides. With your support, we will transform the patient care experience. With your help, we will bring the brightest minds in health care to Ottawa to focus on seniors and those with chronic illness. With your help, Bruyère Research Institute will find solutions to keep each generation of seniors healthier than the last.

Please support us as we enhance lives and transform care.

With our rapidly aging population, there has never been a better time to support the life-changing care Bruyère provides.”
