Assisted suicide not a simple question

On the question of assisted suicide, one of your letter writers says “personal ethics” should not come into the equation. What about morality and the scriptural command “thou shall not kill”? How can forward thinking change that command?

And finally, why do your letter writers fail to recognize or acknowledge the fact that those who oppose assisted suicide are also taxpayers who support our doctors and hospitals? Paul Hewitt, Ottawa
