Michigan coaches get big pay hike

The University of Michigan is committed to paying Jim Harbaugh’s top three assistants US$1 million each per year. Defensive co-ordinator Don Brown and offensive co-ordinator Tim Drevno have been retained with contracts worth more than US$10 million combined during the next five years. Passing co-ordinator Pep Hamilton was lured away from the Cleveland Browns with a US$4.25-million, four-year deal.
