A double bill at Bar Robo in Chinatown (692 Somerset St. W.) on Sunday night will feature some shining young talents from Brooklyn’s burgeoning contemporary jazz scene. Bassist Aryeh Korbinsky plays a solo set at 7 p.m. and the trio of the expansive and virtuosic saxophonist Dan Blake, who has shared stages with peers such as Esperanza Spalding and Julian Lage, as well as elders, including saxophonists David Liebman and Anthony Braxton, plays at 8:30 p.m. The cover is $15.

Birdie Whyte will play every Sunday at the Savoy starting Feb. 5, with a warm-up bash on Friday with no cover, starting around 9 p.m.
