Wait’s over for Felhaber

- MIKE KOREEN

Felhaber had been waiting a long time for a day like Sunday.

The 67’s winger scored his first Ontario Hockey League playoff goal in the first post-season victory of his three-year career on Sunday.

“It’s awesome, a good feeling,” the 5-foot-11 Felhaber said in a noisy 67’s dressing room at the Hershey Centre.

Acquired in a mid-season deal with Saginaw, Felhaber came to the 67’s after being swept out of the playoffs the past two years as a member of the Spirit. In his 10th OHL playoff game, he broke his drought by firing a shot from the top of the left faceoff circle past Ingham.

“It means a lot. You know what it takes now,” Felhaber said. “When the whole team buys in, we can beat anybody and we showed it (on Sunday).”
