Community forum on Living and Dying with Dignity

Living and Dying with Dignity is a community forum on advanced care planning and the launch of Temple Israel’s Palliative Care Outreach Program.

It will be held Sunday, April 2, 2-4 p.m. at Temple Israel, 1301

Keynote speaker is the Honourable Sharon Carstairs, who will speak about advanced care planning. She is a leader in the field, author of many policy papers and books, and continues in retirement

to be a force for change in palliative care policy and the Caring Communities initiative.

Other speakers will be John Fraser, MPP for Ottawa South, and Dr. Paul L. Hacker, a palliative care physician in Ottawa. Fraser is the

parliamentary assistant to the Ontario Minister of Health and Longterm Care.
