NAVY MEMBERS LINKED TO CANADA DAY CONFRONTATION
Two members of the Navy were involved in a confrontation at an indigenous ceremony in Halifax on Canada Day, the military has confirmed. Organizer Rebecca Moore said a small group of men wearing black polo shirts — one of them carrying a Red Ensign Flag — sang “God Save the Queen” as they approached a ceremony marking historical atrocities against the indigenous. A video shows one of them say they are recognizing Canada’s heritage as a British colony.
