Hadley exits Spandau Ballet

-

Tony Hadley has left his band Spandau Ballet. The 57-year-old singer had been the lead vocalist in the new wave group in its 1980s heyday. The band reunited for a comeback in 2009, 20 years after splitting, and released seventh album Once More, as well as going on tour. But Hadley took to Twitter on Monday to announce an oddly worded statement making it not clear whether it was his decision to quit or if he was forced out. “Due to circumstances beyond my control, it is with deep regret that I am required to state that I am no longer a member of the band Spandau Ballet and as such I will not be performing with the band in the future.”
