Actress recovers from tumour

Maria Menounos is recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour from her brain. The actress tells People magazine: “I’d been getting light-headed on set and having headaches. My speech had got slurred and I was having difficulty reading (her lines).” Menounos, 39, had a golf ball-sized brain tumour that was affecting her facial nerves. Her doctor said “there’s a six to seven per cent chance that we’ll see it come back,” she said. “But I’ll take those odds any day.”
