North Korea joining the nuclear club?
The solution to the problem of North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons — and Iran’s, for that matter — is to invite these countries to join the Nuclear Club. This may sound preposterous, but it will immediately satisfy their egos at having achieved such a success.
When they have joined, they will have to take responsibility for how they use their weapons. I do not see any other solution that does not incur brinkmanship, if not outright declaration of war.
Sanctions never seem to be very effective. Many in other countries do not see why the large, arrogant states should hold the ultimate weapon against them.
