Pedestrians are here to stay

In Halifax, pedestrians are treated with respect. Vehicles unhesitatingly stop at crosswalks on both busy and calm streets to allow safe passage for pedestrians. Many also stop for pedestrians where there are no specified crosswalks. What we need in this city are motorists with courtesy, who realize they do not have an exclusive sense of road entitlement.
