‘Coffee’ bedding offers pleasant dreams
A new set of bedding products will allow people to wake up and smell the coffee. Australian sustainable homeware label Ettitude has devised a new collection of fitted and flat sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers, infusing its signature Bamboo Lyocell fabric with repurposed coffee grounds.
Ettitude recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the bamboo-coffee blend tucked onto your bed by mid-July — and has well surpassed its goal of A$30,000 ($29,500). As men’s lifestyle site The Manual points out, the Melbourne-based company claims that the mix of bamboo with coffee creates super-soft bedding. They say it provides 50 per cent more moisture wicking than cotton, is hypoallergenic and highly odourdiffusing. Ettitude says the coffee smell from the grounds’ oil is taken out so sleepers can get proper shut-eye without experiencing the effects of caffeine. The items in the collection can be pre-ordered separately or as a complete set. Postmedia News
