There’s nothing like warming up to a steaming cup of soup on a chilly fall day, and there’s just something extra special about a soup that’s made entirely from scratch.
Our slow cooker beef stock is simple yet richly flavoured. Beef bones, celery, carrots and onions are slow-roasted in the oven, then placed in the slow cooker with herbs and a dash of red wine to let the flavours meld together. Keep a batch in your freezer to use in your favourite stews, soups and other recipes, including our lentil vegetable soup, where it adds extra heartiness.
Try using the stock in our curried beef and vegetable soup recipe as well. Curry powder adds a hint of warmth and spice in every bowl.
