Ellingson nominated for most outstanding CFL player
Receiver Greg Ellingson is the Ottawa Redblacks’ nominee as Most Outstanding Player for the 2017 Shaw CFL Awards.
Other team winners announced on Wednesday were: Antoine Pruneau (defence), Brad Sinopoli (Canadian), Alex Mateas (offensive lineman), Diontae Spencer (special teams) and Sherrod Baltimore (rookie).
In this first ballot, Football Reporters of Canada representatives from each CFL city as well as the head coaches submitted votes for six categories.
The East and West Division winners for the CFL awards will be announced on Nov. 9. The league awards will be presented Nov. 23 at the Shaw Centre. You can buy tickets for the event at greycupfestival105.ca.
