DRIVER SOUGHT AFTER HIT-RUN INJURES BOY

Ottawa police are seeking the public’s help to identify a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run collision Nov. 30 that injured a teenage cyclist. According to police, the 13-year-old boy was delivering newspapers near the intersecti­on of Kennevale Drive and Hennepin Street in the Barrhaven district when a black vehicle struck the boy and sped away. The boy suffered minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. Police are asking the driver of the car to contact investigat­ors regarding the incident. Police are also asking the public to report any known details about the incident. Anyone with informatio­n is asked to call 613-236-1222 ext. 2481.
