Housing boom creates retail opportunities

Stittsville, a once-small village, has a burgeoning housing market and the opportunity for retail is significant. For most locals, information about future retail has been limited, but most would welcome any local enclosed mall(s) to house retail stores.

Residential or commercial developers should be encouraged by either tax rebates or land grants to include community outlets mainly geared to the small or owner-owned retailer that will add local jobs and community tax base.
