Hockey tickets are unaffordable to many

-

Am I the only citizen who resents the guilt trip laid on those of us whose bodies have not been in the Canadian Tire Centre to support the Senators? Let me reveal an alternate universe.

Has it occurred to Senators zealots that paying to support the Senators is either beyond the means or priorities of citizens? Many citizens have been squeezed in recent years between rising prices and relatively diminished incomes. Senators tickets have become unaffordable to us, the 99 per cent.

There is also the amazing cost of parking in Kanata and the outrageous cost of an insipid beer.

I will not enter into the merits or otherwise of the skaters pretending to be a hockey team. But one question occurs to me: When Eugene Melnyk attends a game, does he pay for a parking space?
