1928
The 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz featured the first and only appearance of skijoring. The demonstration sport, held on a frozen lake, saw competitors on skis pulled by riderless horses. Unlike in modern skijoring, which typically includes horseriders, there were no jumps involved.
Again, Canada’s only medal came in men’s hockey, where the University of Toronto squad outscored its opponents 38-0 in the three-game medal round to take the gold.
