HOMAN HAD NO ‘SWAGGER’

-

Something just didn’t look right with Rachel Homan’s team in these Olympics.

On the way to a disappointing 4-5 record, the Canadians lost their first three games and two of their last three.

They had three good games in between and that wasn’t nearly enough.

This team that normally puts the fear into all the other teams in the field looked to be playing scared.

And it cost them dearly. “I just think when Homan’s team is on fire, they’re decisive, they’re speedy, their body language is terrific all the time and they’ve got that swagger and strut that strikes fear in the hearts of everybody who steps on the ice against them,” six-time Canadian women’s champion Colleen Jones said.

“Because they appeared vulnerable, the intimidation factor was taken out a bit for the other teams. Teams love to sniff a vulnerability in another team for sure.”
