Editor forms book publisher
Author and editor Kenneth Whyte has launched a new Canadian publishing company. The Sutherland House will specialize in literary non-fiction. Whyte is a former president of Rogers Publishing Inc., Canada’s largest magazine company, as well as former editor-inchief of Saturday Night magazine, editor-in-chief and publisher of Maclean’s magazine and the founding editor of the National Post. Sutherland has also acquired venerable small press Porcupine’s Quill Inc. The new publishing firm has established the website sutherlandhousebooks.com. Sutherland House is now accepting submissions of book proposals and manuscripts from writers and agents.
