An uplifting game for the mayor
Mayor Jim Watson came home from Saturday’s Panda Game with a story to tell. When the University of Ottawa Gee- Gees bested the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, one fan who had been in his cups gave Watson an impromptu squeeze. “He drunkenly picked up who he thought to be a random man off his feet and hugged him until we all yelled at him to put Jim Watson down,” the man’s girlfriend tweeted, tagging Watson. “This is true,” the mayor tweeted in reply. “It did happen!” “This is particularly funny as Jim Watson is a Carleton alumni!” added Michelle Beauchamp.
