Transitway reopened following bus crash

-

OC Transpo reopened the section off Transitway between Dominion and Tunney’s Pasture stations Sunday evening and closed the temporary bus stops on Scott Street. The section had been closed since a double-decker Route 269 bus crashed into a transit station just before 4 p.m. on Friday. The wrecked bus was towed away on Saturday, and on Sunday workers made repairs to the station. OC Transpo said commuters would be able to access bus service on the Transitway platforms at Lincoln Fields, Dominion and Westboro stations. Westbound buses would use stop 1A at the Westboro station. Members of the public wanting to leave a memento or memorial item for the crash victims were asked to do so at one of two temporary sites: the westbound platform at the lower end and at the northwest corner of Scott and Athlone streets.
