Orderly charged with sex assault

Ottawa police have charged an orderly at The Ottawa Hospital’s General campus with sexual assault following a complaint by a patient. A woman who had an operation at the General in December filed a complaint, saying she was sexually assaulted by the orderly post-surgery. Wilbert Aragon-Baez, 46, of Ottawa is to appear in court on Feb. 11. Investigators say they are concerned there could be other victims and ask anyone with information to contact the Ottawa Police Service sexual assault and child abuse unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
