BRACEWELL, Garth

-

July 14, 1942 - February 11, 2019 It is with very sad hearts that we say goodbye to Garth, a devoted follower of Jesus and loving spouse, father, grandfather and friend who fought a courageous fight with cancer, but in the end was called to heaven after a long and happy life. We are so extremely grateful he had a peaceful passing, with no medical issues or incidents. He will be deeply missed by his cherished wife of 51 years, Anita, and his loving children Shane (Linda), Shauna (Paul), Dale (Deanna) and Kristi (Ken). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Alan, Jonathan, Owen, Dayton, Tristan and Jayme. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Marlin (Rod) and Carl (late Debbie) and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Lilian and his brother Ross. Dad was completely devoted to his Christian faith and his family. He took extreme pride in watching his children’s and grandchildren’s successes. He loved volunteering and being involved in local associations, be it Boy Scouts, figure skating, community Villa Board, or School Board Trustee. Always a project planner at heart, he loved to make lists and get things done. We will all dearly miss Dad. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the ceremony to celebrate the life of Garth Bracewell planned for Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa. A reception at the Met will follow, along with a light snack and fellowship. As an expression of sympathy, a donation made either to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Metropolitan Bible Church would be appreciated by the family. Condolences and Sharing Memories at
