April 20, 1929 - February 11, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Lau Kwan. Beloved Wife of Chung Yue. Proud mother of Sou May (Ken), Anna (Kam), David (Michelle), Judy (Tony) and Chi (Kim). Grandmother of Jimmy (Rachel), Richard (Hollie), Jason (Karla), Winston (Hilary), Eugene (Amy), Jesse (Catherine), Wayne, Laura (Stephen), Melissa (Brendan), Olivia, and Christopher. Great-Grandmother of Annie and Henry. Also survived by her sister, Lau Ying. Born in China, she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1968. In addition to looking after her children, she also worked full-time. As a devoted and proud grandmother, she cherished the time she cared for and spent with each and every one of them. This past summer the family celebrated our 50th anniversary in Canada as well as her birthday. She was truly happy to be surrounded by all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were there to celebrate this special occasion. She was a thoughtful, selfless and caring mother who would do anything for her family. We will always carry her memory, life lessons and values in our hearts. In lieu of flowers a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated. Friends are invited to the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Condolences/Tributes/Donations Hulse, Playfair & McGarry www.hpmcgarry.ca
