Plaudits for Plamondon’s plan

Re: Sparks Street — Stop throwing good money after bad, April 15.

What a wonderfully fresh and innovative idea from Bob Plamondon. It’s not difficult to imagine that part of Wellington Street as a pedestrian space. You just have to be there, in summer especially, to see people enjoying the proximity to Parliament Hill. With a careful plan and a creative imagination, it could be fabulous.

No matter what tired old revamp is planned for Sparks Street, all you have to do is stand there in the middle of winter and admit to yourself that it doesn’t get much better.
