Champagne fuels this 108-year-old

A love of champagne has helped Dorothy Flowers live to celebrate her 108th birthday Oct. 22, the U.K.’s Metro has reported. “Her real secret for longevity though has to be champagne,” said Helene Ballinger, manager at the North Yorkshire nursing home where Flowers resides. “It’s the only thing we ever see her finish a glass of.” Born in Leeds, Flowers worked with her husband in the horse racing industry before retiring in 1963.
