IS OTTAWA CONSIDERING LOGO CHANGE?
The Ottawa Senators could have a new look next season.
While chief executive officer Jim Little wouldn’t confirm there’s a new jersey coming, it certainly sounds like the Senators could have a new logo in place by the time they make their first selection at the NHL Draft that will be held in June at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Little insinuated that could be the case during a radio interview earlier this week and he didn’t deny that possibility when asked to broach the subject Friday.
“We’re thinking about that,” said Little. “We’re looking at all options and there’s nothing we’re not looking at. The draft is absolutely a milestone moment for us because of the importance of our picks and how deep we’re going to go with that.
“You just need that to settle in before you finalize what the positioning of the company and the business plan are because elements of the product — the young guys — are going to factor in how you land.”
