Wyman rolling toward auction
Bill Wyman, former bassist for The Rolling Stones, is putting more than
1,000 items of memorabilia under the hammer, including the amp he used to land him the job in 1962, according to Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles. The Vox AC30 amp is expected to fetch as much as US$100,000 at the
May 29-31 event while a 1969 Fender Mustang bass could get US$500,000. Stage outfits and a program for a rare double bill with The Beatles are part of the consignment from Wyman, 83, who left the band in 1993.
