Billboard honours country superstar

Country star Garth Brooks is being honoured with Billboard’s Icon award, joining the likes of Prince, Neil Diamond and Stevie Wonder, the charts company said. Brooks, winner of 19 other Billboard awards, has had more No. 1 albums on its top 200 chart than any country singer, with nine. He’ll also sing at the ceremony April 29 in Las Vegas.
