EXPANDING FOR THE FUTURE

-

The oldest single family owned Mercedes-Benz store in the country (3rd generation), is pleased to announce that we will be moving forward with our plans to expand the principal location at 400 West Hunt Club Road. After three and a half years of negotiations with two Management Companies for Tim Horton’s Restaurants, Star Motors of Ottawa concluded the purchase with the assistance of both local Commercial Real Estate Companies; CBRE and Koble. We have contracted MB Ford Construction to complete the demolition of Tim Horton’s/Wendy’s, located immediately adjacent to Star Motors, which we began this week. This acquisition will provide Star Motors with approximately one acre of prime real estate (West Hunt Club Road frontage) that will initially be used to promote the growing model range of world class vehicles, SUV’s, Hybrids and the future of Electrical and Hydrogen powered vehicles from Mercedes-Benz and AMG. The specific plans to expand the main facility at Star Motors will be delayed as a result of the current Pandemic. Having said this, we have been pleasantly surprised with the continued support from our loyal customers. First quarter sales results were very strong. April definitely saw a significant decrease but May vehicle sales have returned to the levels that we achieved in May of last year.

As we all reassess our own mobility options during and after this Pandemic, it’s comforting to know that Mercedes-Benz has 5 models priced under $45,000 (two of which are under $40,000), that include world class safety, performance and all-wheel drive predictability. This additional property will afford us the much needed space to allow our guests a pleasant and safe shopping experience. It is important that we take this opportunity to thank our dedicated employees who take such pride in representing this great brand and serving our customers.
