STUDYPOD IS AN OFFICE IN A BOX

- Melissa Hank

Just imagine — your next important office email shuttling through cyberspace from your very own futuristic work pod. Norwegian prefab maker Livit can make it a reality. The company has unveiled its Studypod, a 38-square-foot black cube that functions as a stand-alone mini-office you can set up in your backyard.

The Studypod has a tinted-glass front that lets you see outside and comes premade. You can remove the optional desk, which transforms the space into a yoga room, creative studio or guest room.

“With more and more people working from home, especially now with COVID-19, we think this structure can add a lot of value to people’s everyday lives,” Livit cofounder Torstein Aa told Dwell.

The Studypod is currently available in Europe for €11,900 (about $18,500).
