Green Gables special coming

The Confederation Centre of the Arts in P.E.I. is preparing a one-hour broadcast special Feelin’ Mighty Proud, which will be available to Canadians in September. The show will include excerpts from Anne of Green Gables — The Musical, which has ended its stage run after 55 years. It will also incorporate travels around P.E.I. to historical sites, and new performances of songs from the musical by P.E.I. artists. Stage segments will be performed by Emma Rudy, along with Hank Stinson and Marlane O’Brien as the Cuthberts, and Catherine O’Brien as Rachel Lynde. No word yet on where viewers can tune in.
