The product: Made-in-Canada non-medical face masks from Le Château

Why we love it: Montreal-based fashion company Le Château has debuted a lineup of made-in-Canada face masks in an effort to support Canada’s fight against COVID-19.

The pleated non-medical masks, which are made from a cotton-polyester blend, feature double-layered material and elastic ear straps. Available in a fun array of colours and prints, like this floral print in blush, the masks are billed as being both washable and reusable.

For every mask purchased, the company has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to a Canadian food bank.

Le Château also recently upped its contribution to the health care initiative by announcing the start of its program of cutting and sewing medical gowns in its Montreal workshop.

The gowns are to be sent to hospitals across Canada, according to a news release, with plans to create up to 500,000 gowns for the cause.

The price: $12
