Located in downtown Gatineau just minutes from Ottawa, Bloome is a new, sleek and modern project that completely reimagines city living. Enjoy an easier, more affordable and extraordinarily ecofriendly lifestyle at Bloome apartments — your secret garden.

Bloome apartments are perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful oasis — without ever leaving the city! Nearby green spaces and parks like Gatineau Park add to the tranquility of the Bloome project itself, which includes many garden spaces alongside most rental units and in all common areas.

Kevlar LP, the company spearheading the Bloome apartments project, incorporated its signature innovative interior design style to create inviting spaces with an abundance of natural light in both 10-storey buildings, making each of the 380 units feel like a luxurious private retreat.

Everyone from young professionals to retirees will find units perfect for their needs. Applications for May 2024 are open now, so there is still time. So, you may want to hurry if you want to raise your standards and reinvent your lifestyle!

NEIGHBOURHOOD

Situated in the heart of Canada’s capital region, Bloome apartments is in an up-and-coming neighbourhood known for its proximity to three major parks (Gatineau Park, Lac-leamy and Jacques-cartier). The National Gallery and Museum of History are minutes away, as are more than 30 restaurants and cafés, four grocery stores and plenty of pharmacies and theatres.

Bloome apartments is on boulevard Saint-joseph, which is currently undergoing a revitalization process that will not only widen the street, but also add 2.5 kilometres of green spaces, including parks and bike paths. The $59 million revitalization project provided the perfect opportunity for Kevlar LP to not only surround the apartment buildings with nature, but also consult with public transit authorities to ensure Bloome apartments became a regular bus stop.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better location, if we’d invented it ourselves!” exclaimed Kevlar LP’S president, René Bellerive. “We are right next to Galeries de Hull, not far from downtown Ottawa and Gatineau, and the continued enhancements to the neighbourhood just make everything better and better. The enlargement of boulevard Saint-joseph, the revitalization of the businesses in the area, the addition of a bus stop right on the property, the new bike path along Saint-joseph, the highway that is discreetly nearby — these all offer so many ways of getting around to everywhere that’s great about Gatineau.”

For those who do prefer to drive, tenants will have access to indoor parking for an additional fee or they can use the electric car sharing service as needed, on a pay as you go basis. This provides the benefits of car ownership without the hassles of actually owing one themselves.

ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN

No matter your living space needs, Bloome apartments has something for you. Studio apartments are designed for privacy but also all include a garden or

balcony, giving tenants their own outdoor luxury oases. For anyone who prefers separate bedrooms, threeand-a-half, four-and-a-half and five-and-a-half apartments are also available.

In each and every unit, you’ll find modern design, elegant finishes and quality materials, from the countertops to kitchen appliances — and everything in between and all around. These details won’t cost extra either. Bloome apartments only uses the best quality materials to make each space look and feel luxurious and delightful. “New materials may look very expensive but are actually quite cost-efficient,” Bellerive explains.

Advances in design go together with advances in overall quality, meaning tenants get the best quality for an affordable price.

AMENITIES

When you rent at Bloome apartments, you get more than just your unit. Tenants also have access to the interior courtyard formed by the two Bloome buildings. This courtyard has a pool and contemplative garden, while the surrounding building interiors house a game room, a lounge with fireplace and large screen TV, a gym, and a relaxation room.

Included in every tenant’s rent are utilities, high-speed internet, a basic cable package with 48 stations, air conditioning, bike storage in the garage, and appliances.

“We do this for all our projects,” said Karl Perto, vice president of investment and development. “We include the five main appliances: washer, dryer, fridge, stove and dishwasher, plus the window shades. When it comes to Wifi and utilities, we find it is much easier for tenants if these are also included. We are able to provide high speed internet and cable that would be more expensive for tenants if they were to pay for it separately for themselves.”

Bundling all these costs into rent makes payments easier for tenants and ultimately provides better value. The other bonus, which aligns with the Kevlar LP goal of reducing carbon emissions, is that apartments can be furnished with more energy efficient and environmentally friendly appliances.

DEDICATION TO A GREENER FUTURE

Reducing the environmental footprint of the Bloome buildings is a priority for Kevlar LP, says Bellerive. Bloome was designed to surpass the minimums set by the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings by more than 25 per cent, which it does easily by prioritizing environmentally friendly electronics, building materials and more.
