Stonemont on the Park is about to open its doors. The newest 55-plus community in Ottawa focuses on choice for its residents, offering variety in its quality accommodation and amenities, combined with the level of support and service that residents require.
The goal from the beginning, says Stonemont on the Park co-owner Eric Chartrand, has been to have something for all seniors, regardless of their stage in life.
For active individuals who enjoy their independence and are primarily looking for opportunities to socialize, the 130 lifestyle apartments in the community have full kitchens, walk-in showers, high ceilings, balconies, underground parking and concierge service. Apartments range from bachelors to one-, two- and three-bedrooms in a variety of layouts with monthly rates starting at under $2,000.
For residents who require more services, meal plans, housekeeping and additional help are offered through the all-inclusive/supportive plans in 197 apartments on the same property. A further level of support is offered through assisted living. One of the most attractive features, notes Chartrand, is that levels of support can be added, ensuring safety and comfort in your forever home.
“We understand that people are trying to combine lifestyle and need,” says Chartrand. “We recognize that many seniors are still active and looking for the opportunity to socialize more. Others no longer want the responsibility of maintaining a house; they are looking for a more carefree lifestyle. At Stonemont on the Park, we can give them that and so much more.
“Other people want to move closer to family, or perhaps one of a couple needs a little more help than the other,” he adds. “We offer everyone what they need.”
The many amenities at Stonemont on the Park include a swimming pool, a home theatre, a fitness room, a chapel and numerous lounges for social connections.
