Chip and Joanna Gaines are once again paying tribute to the HGTV show that made them famous. The couple are celebrating the 10th anniversary of home renovation series Fixer Upper with a new season. Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse follows them as they overhaul a mid-century modern lake house near Lake Waco in Texas.

The Gaineses will “go above and beyond with surprising interior designs and unique outdoor installations never before seen on Fixer Upper,” according to a news release.

The season's six episodes will air on the duo's Magnolia Network as well as HGTV, which originally aired the Fixer Upper franchise. Back-to-back instalments are set for each week beginning June 2. The show will also stream on Discovery+.

A teaser trailer posted March 5 on Magnolia Network's Youtube channel gives viewers a glimpse of the property in its original form. Its standout features include floor-to-ceiling windows and a chef 's kitchen with stainless steel accents. True to the couple's playful dynamic, the trailer also shows Joanna wandering around looking for Chip — whom she finds lounging in an inner tube on the lake.

“When Fixer Upper premièred 10 years ago, we couldn't have imagined the journey we had ahead of us,” the Gaineses said in a statement. “Though a lot has changed and evolved in the decade between then and now, our love for home is still at the heart of everything we do. We feel honoured that we get to continue pouring into the stories of these homes across Waco, and we're excited to share our latest project with you this summer with Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse.”

The duo, who live in Waco with their five children, have released several other Fixer Upper spinoffs in the past few years. Fixer Upper: Welcome Home premièred in 2021 to launch Magnolia Network, followed by Fixer Upper: The Castle in 2022 and Fixer Upper: The Hotel in 2023.

The original Fixer Upper aired five seasons from 2013 to 2018. As it embraced the modern farmhouse esthetic — with its neutral palette, barn doors and shiplap — it became the top unscripted show on cable television.

Chip and Joanna Gaines celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2023. Aside from Magnolia Network, their empire includes a line of home decor items for Target, the magazine Magnolia Journal and businesses in Waco such as the shopping complex Magnolia Market. They've also released multiple books.
