Armagnac Baron De Sigognac 15 Year Old Produced in the Bas-Armagnac region. Sweet and spicy on the nose, with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg followed by smooth vanilla and orange. Rich and creamy on the palate, with notes of fig, oak, spice, and butterscot­ch. Finishes beautifull­y with spice and marzipan. LCBO276534/$150 Charles De Granville Calvados 25 Year Old Elegant honey colour with superb mahogany reflection­s. Superb nose, with aromas of apple compote with vanilla sticks and fragments of plums. The palate reveals aromas of tarte tatin, cinnamon, and licorice. The finish is magnificen­t, mixing apricots and dry fig flavours. LCBO 276708/ $302.70 2016 Domaine de Tara Terre d’Ocres Blanc Luminous pale straw-yellow colour with brilliant highlights. Very refined bouquet, with aromas of citrus fruit (orange and mandarin), white flowers, and seed fruits with a discreet mineral touch at the finish. Subtle and refreshing, with a fine balance between fruit and acidity and lingering hints of lime tree. Pairs well with seafood, poultry, fish dishes, soft fresh cheese, and Asian cuisine. It also makes a fine aperitif. LCBO 380732/ $22.70 2016 Roger Sabon Rhone Blend A brick-red colour with pure aromas of raspberrie­s, ripe cherries, smoked meat, Provençal spices, and minerals. It is well balanced, with silky tannins and lots of red and black fruit flavours. Medium- to full-bodied, it will pair perfectly with grilled meats, barbecues, and charcuteri­e.
