Ottawa Sun - - COMMENT -

With all the bad-news stories out there, it is nice to know that there are still many good people in our community ready to help. In early November, I was a passenger in a car on Hunt Club Rd. that was hit by a car making an illegal left turn in front of us.

The car was a writeoff, but fortunately we received only minor injuries, whiplash and a fractured rib etc.

A young woman, Brenda Turgeon, came to our aid immediately. She, paramedics, police and firefighters were unbelievably kind, caring and professional. Brenda stayed with us for about two hours and took both of us home.

We are blessed to call Ottawa our home. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. BARBARA MORNEAU OTTAWA (Well said. There are wonderful folks in our city. It’s too easy to forget that sometimes.)
